1. As a little girl did you dream of your perfect wedding? A knight in shining armor sweeping you off your feet and galloping off into the sunset with the happily ever after Cinderella ending?
Of course I think most little girls do. I always wanted a BIG wedding dress, lots of pretty flowers, a picture perfect castle and a prince.
2. At what moment did you know your man was THE ONE and worthy of the W word?
Thinking back upon it now I could say there was for me a moment when I knew Jon was the one. We were snuggled on the lounge watching a movie, with his long arms wrapped around me. I thought to myself "I don't want this to ever end!" We have always been able to talk openly to each other about anything. We have been two peas in a pod right from the beginning.
3. Who proposed and how did it happen? We want the full bells & whistles!
I had booked tickets to one of Jon's favourite bands as a birthday present. It was going to be played at Rod Lavar Arena as they weren't coming to Adelaide. We had decided to book for a week away to give as a holiday too.
So in December off we went to Melbourne. When we arrived I decided that it was time for some shopping :D. I dragged Jon in and out of almost every shop in the DFO. When we were both exhausted Jon suggested we go down to St Kila for dinner, so onto the tram we jumped.
Together we cheaply shared our dinner and our glass of Coke. When we had finished our meal we went for a walk down to the Jetty and along the break water. Neither of us knew but around sunset the Little Penguins waddled up into their homes in the rocks, there is a little walk way so you can see them. They were SO cute that we stood watching them for some time and taking lots of photos. We went and sat on the rocks that formed the break water and i was watching the sunset when Jon pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him. Of course I said "Yes"
4. Did you make a formal announcement of your engagement?
We both rang our parents, sent TXT's to siblings and shared our news on facebook.
5. Are or did you have an engagement party?
We had our Engagement party in March of this year. We decided to make the most of the beautiful weather and have a BBQ. With only two weeks before the party it was said to expect rain, rain and more rain. This did disappoint us but decided to risk it, however we ended up with one of the most beautiful days.
6. How long have you been planning your wedding to this point?
To this point 5 months, and happily with most of the big things booked and out of the way
7. When are you getting married?
We are getting married on the 24th of March 2012. It had to co-inside with the sport as Jon is a big sporting fan.
8. How many are in your wedding party?
There will be 6, 2 bridesmaids and 2 groomsmen.
9. Where will you have your ceremony?
We are having our ceremony in the gardens of Cummins House at Novar Gardens
10. Where is your reception?
Our reception will be held at the SA Sea Rescue Squadron in West Beach
11. How many guests?
We are yet to confirm a guest list yet but we are looking at around 70

Firstly I would like to say hello to all the beautiful Brides out there. I started out reading about all the wonderful things that the other Blog Brides had been up to, and thought that it was a fantastic idea.
I thought that I would pop in and update where Jonathon and I are currently at with all our wedding planning.
Like blog bride Michelle, Jon and I were had a lot of comments about how organized we have been. We first started looking not long after coming back from our holiday. We talked about churches, beach or garden weddings and which style we wanted. We decided the sooner we looked into it the better because then we are guaranteed the date that we wanted. So currently we have organized…
Transport: So far I have a horse and carriage for myself and my bridesmaids to Cummins House and from there for photos. Jon is talking about driving himself to save on money.
Make Up Artist/ Hair Stylist: I decided to go with the two lovely ladies from Crazy Beautiful for myself and two bridesmaids.
Ceremony and Reception:
As I said in my interview we picked Cummins House for our ceremony because we loved the grounds and the stunning old buildings. For our reception we wanted something that had a view of the beach but wasn’t too expensive, so when we walked into the SA Sea Rescue Squadron it was like “This is it!”
The Dress:
I decided that I wanted my Mum to come with me when I started looking into what dress I might like. When we walked into one of the stores 1 dress grabbed my eye, so naturally it was the first one that I tried on! The dress was stunning and I fell in love with it instantly. Beautiful hand embellished lace on the torso, which weaved its way down the dress finishing about knee height. The skirt was what every little girl would dream of, lots of layers making it into a VERY full skirt. When I came out of the dressing room I looked over at my Mum who looked as though she was fighting back tears. Add on the veil and I looked every part the blushing bride.
I couldn’t however afford the deposit on the dress so we both walked out of the store knowing we had achieved something. However time passed and the more time I had to think about the dress the more I knew that it wasn’t right. So I decided to drag Mum out again this time into a smaller bridal shop.
We looked at lots of lovely dresses and also I tried on many. When it came to the last one there was just something about it that the other dresses didn’t have. This time the dress was slimmer fitting and I thought to myself “I don’t look like a marshmallow”. It still had the beautiful lace and bead work on the dress, but there was something about it that seemed right. After trying it on with the veil and looking at mum who had tears almost rolling down her face I knew it was the ONE.
However I couldn’t make the decision without both parents seeing it first. So we called up my Dad and when he saw it on both parents were crying. I thought “Gosh Jon is going to love this”. So naturally we paid the deposit on the spot. Now it’s a matter of the waiting game until I get the phone call to say it’s come in :D
Next thing on my list is Bridesmaid dresses!
Congratulations to you all reading this and see you next time I report in

Saturday saw my two wonderful bridesmaids and myself go out shopping for bridesmaid dresses. The feeling that surrounds you when your looking through the shelves is similar to that when you are looking for that dream dress. Where do you begin? Size, shape, colour, style and fabric.
After trying on multiple dresses it started to look like we weren't going to find anything, but the last dress was successful. The style suited both the ladies and the fabric was soft and flowing. However we were all slightly disappointed in the only shade of purple that the dress could have been made in. So we decided to walk away and have time to think about it.
Thankfully we did as it turned out that the dress we wanted was cheaper and also came in more colour in a different store. This made both the bridesmaids and myself very happy. So bridesmaid dresses are picked just have to order them LOL.
Hopefully this weekend will see accommodation for the day before and the night of the wedding booked or at least planned. So i am planning on going to the Stamford Plaza's expo on the Sunday, this should help the decision process on where to look at staying.
The only main thing that is left on the list to book is catering. This is something that i want to achieve within the next couple of weeks. However there is many things that we are looking for so its not as easy as looking them up on the net.
Anyway I hope that all of your wedding planning is going well.
Goodbye for now

Hello to my fellow brides to be.
Over the last couple of weeks I've been up to a lot, although the organization side of things is almost finished there are still the small bits that have to be organized.
I recently received a phone call from the bridal shop to say that my dress had arrived in and that I could come and pick it up. The excitement that goes through you when you find out that YOUR dress has arrived is crazy. I called my parents to tell them (as they have offered to pay for it) and they spend a lot of time trying to calm me down, I was literally bouncing off the walls. I however had to wait a couple of days for my parents to come back to Adelaide from interstate before I could go and pick it up.
When the day arrived I was hanging out for the moment that I could try on MY dress. The shop owner saw us walk in and went to fetch the dress from out the back, when she came back she was carrying a big plastic bag through which I could see my dress. When she pulled it out of the bag I couldn't wait to try it on, she laced it up slowly and then tightened it after the lace was in all the loops. It was amazing to see how something although still creased from being shipped to Australia could look so pretty.
The curtains were opened and it was the moment that it sunk in that in less than 8 months I would be wearing this dress down the aisle to marry the man I love. Walking out to show my parents was a proud moment; although my hair a mess and the dress creased I felt a million dollars. The look on the faces of the faces of my parents was also one of realization however I think it was different to mine, but more like their little girl was all grown up.
I was amazed that the lady from the shop seemed to think that I wouldn't need any alterations, once the dress goes for dry cleaning the tulle would puff out and would just skim the floor. Zipping up the white bag that now contains my dress which is where it will stay until the big day was sad. I keep going in and having a peep at the dress as if to pinch myself.
Jon and I have also gone to look at suits. We have agreed just to hire the grooms suit as this will save us money. However agreeing on what the groom should wear was something different, as both have different views on if the groom should wear just white like the bride or have the same colour as the bridesmaids and groomsmen. This is still something that we don't agree on but we have picked out two possible options.
What do you think that the groom should wear? Colour or match the bride??
This week we have also placed an order on two bridesmaid dresses. After having both the girls try on the dresses it was time to order. I was surprised to hear that it would take 16 weeks to make them both and have them shipped to Australia. This is a longer wait then waiting for my bridal gown to be made. I have also taken the sample colour of the bridesmaid dresses and bought a pattern and fabric to make my own flower girl dress. I decided not to put her in ivory the same colour as my dress as it would make the accessories stand out.
I've been thinking about putting a simple flower head band or similar for contrast with the cute flower girl basket that I have recently acquired.
Recently we have booked and confirmed our DJ. We decided to go with the first people we sat down and talked to, the same as we did the photography. After both talking about it we were comfortable with them and that was the main thing for us.
So now it's down to designing and starting the invites that I will be hand making with the help of my maid of honor and Jon. Also next in the firing line is decor. This I hope will be done in the next week or two after going to the bridal fair at the show grounds.
Well that's all for now. I Hope all of your wedding plans are coming along beautifully.

Hello to all the beautiful brides to be.
My how fast time is traveling, I can’t believe that we are looking at just under 7 months now till we get married. As the days travel along like sand in between our toes so do the few final decisions that are made for the wedding.
We have now decided on what the table setting is going to be like along with the colour of the chairs and sashes. This is one thing that I have found interesting to deal with, because we are getting caterers for our wedding it’s hard to know what each offer and what they don't. We decided on a fairly simplistic reception as we didn't want to go over the top designing it.
There are still many ideas going through my head that I would like to do, and the thought of them makes me excited. I am looking into making a big tree made out of sticks, so that people can write on little tags and tie them on to the branches kind of like a wishing well.
I have also booked in for our bridal hair and makeup trial. This is something that I am really looking forward to as I have so many ideas for hair and makeup that I can’t wait to see all put together. Neither can I wait to see what my bridesmaids pick for their hair.
One thing that I am failing to decide on what to do for is bouquets. I have so many ideas in my mind it’s hard to know where to start. One thing that I have locked in is the idea of roses. Roses have always been a love of mine and they defiantly go well with everything else that I have planned. Colour wise is what I am struggling with and find myself in between two ideas, either multicoloured pastel or to have all the same toning.
Invitations are what I aim to have almost completed next time I check in to give you all an update. I have a firm idea and am about to start drawing it out and sourcing the materials.
So its bye for now and until next time I hope that your wedding plans are all coming along nicely and that your all enjoying the wonderful experience of planning your wedding.

Hello to the beautiful brides to be.
I come to you after a very successful month. We have recently confirmed our caterer. This was one the last big thing that we had left to organize. Now the next couple of things are the invitations and bomboniere.
On Saturday we looked into the groom and groomsmen suits. Seeing all the boys standing there in “their” suits all lined up with cheeky grins on their faces brought a tear to my eye. Suddenly I realised that our wedding would be here before I knew it.
On Sunday My bridesmaids and I went to have our hair and makeup trials. This was defiantly the moment that it sunk in that I was getting married. To sit in the chair and have the girls turn me into the bride that I always dreamt of was surreal. I found myself staring at my reflection once my makeup had finished, I felt like one of the models that you would see in the bridal magazines. After having my hair pinned back I felt as though I should be walking down the aisle, I had my two beautiful bridesmaids with me who looked stunning, all we needed was our dresses and shoes.
With only just over 6 months to go till the wedding I’m sure that the time will fly. People are now telling me that at Christmas time we will only have 3 months to go, which is now really getting me worried.
Congratulations again to you all reading this and see you next time I report in

Hello to all my fellow brides to be.
It's surreal to think that in just a number of weeks we will be finalizing our wedding details. I would never have thought that when you organize your wedding that in the last few months in the lead up things would have almost been completely organized. By trying to be as organized as I could in the first couple of months in the initial stage of deciding on the wedding I have eased the panic over the last couple of months. We have found the only thing that is last to panic over now is the money. Although we are doing fabulously well with this I find myself wanting to be further then what we are. I don't know if this is a normal reaction for all brides or it's just me wanting to have more than enough and not be worried about it.
I am expecting a phone call over the next week or two about my bridesmaid dresses. I can't wait to see what my two fabulous girls will look like in the beautiful dresses that they have chosen. I reminisce the moment when I tried on my dress and I can't help myself but wonder if it's going to be a similar reaction to the girls. Obviously it's not going to have the connection to the thought of 'Oh my gosh I'm getting married' as everyone's wedding dresses do.
I am currently playing with the idea of making my flower girl dress, and have bought the pattern and the fabric. As to whether or not she will end up wearing it or something that we can buy from the shops is probably an on the day decision.
Congratulations to you all reading this and see you next time I report in

My ring!
31.12.2011
Hello to all the beautiful brides to be.
I would firstly like to apologise for neglecting my blog. Time is travelling so fast that sometimes I have to bring myself back to reality.
It's amazing to think that over the last year what we have planned and organised. We have recently booked our honeymoon and this is something that to begin with I was quite reluctant about. Now knowing that the flights and accommodation are all booked and non-refundable, I have begun to really look forward to it. We will be travelling to Phuket for 6 nights. Over this time there are many things that I would like to do since researching into the Island. We will also be travelling to Singapore for 2 nights
We recently bought Jon's wedding ring at the 1/2 yearly sales, this makes me happy as I like to hang on to my $$ so getting the ring half price defiantly makes me happy. His ring is now safe with my wedding band which we bought earlier this year.
A few weeks ago I received a phone call to say that my bridesmaid dresses were in. This was the one of the last big things that we were waiting to check off the list of things that were finished. When we picked them up both the girls looked absolutely stunning, the colour suited both of them and I was in awe looking at them both. As expected there will have to be a few alterations made on the girls bridesmaid dresses but nothing too drastic.
I have just finished hand making our invitations and designing our wishing well poem. This is very exciting for me as it shows that the wedding is so close. We only have 82 days until the wedding, so now it's down to ensuring that everything is going to plan.
Anyway I hope that all of your wedding planning is coming along nicely. I hope that you all enjoy bringing in the New Year.
Bye for now Alynda

1. As a little girl did you dream of your perfect wedding? A knight in shining armor sweeping you off your feet and galloping off into the sunset with the happily ever after Cinderella ending?
I have always loved weddings. I can remember using my Mum's lacy curtains as a veil and pretending to get married. I wanted to be like every Fairytale Princess and find my Prince or my knight in shining armour and live a 'Happy Ever After'.
2. At what moment did you know your man was THE ONE and worthy of the W word?
This is a hard one to answer for I'm not quite sure when I realise Steve was the one. Up to recently, and before Steve, if anyone mentioned the M word I would of ran. (I have had two previous marriages and thought that I could not be so lucky to find a guy worthy of marriage.) I know that when Steve and I met the chemistry between us was different and I would say it was love at first sight. (Definitely after the first kiss)
3. Who proposed and how did it happen? We want the full bells & whistles!
It was the 17th of March 2010 (just over a month after we had started dating), Steve and I were snuggling in bed when after kissing me, he said, "Will you marry me?" Of course I said "Yes".
4. Did you make a formal announcement of your engagement?
We were so happy about our Engagement that we phoned our family and friends the next day and also changed our profile statuses on a social network we both belong to.
5. Are or did you have an engagement party?
No we didn't have an Engagement party but Steve and I went out and celebrated by going to a restaurant plus looking at rings. (We found the perfect ring on the 1st of April 2010)
6. How long have you been planning your wedding to this point?
We started planing our Wedding on the 18th of March 2010 (only small things at first, like the date etc) it has been 14 months to the day.
7. When are you getting married?
11th of February 2012 (two years to the date when we first started going out with each other.
8. How many are in your wedding party?
We are having a matron of honour, two bridesmaids and three grooms men.
9. Where will you have your ceremony?
We are having our wedding ceremony on the foreshores of Glenelg beach.
10. Where is your reception?
We are having our reception the same place where we are getting married. We are having a B.Y.O picnic for we are requested no gifts and feel that because of our tight budget this is perfect for us.
11. How many guests?
Including our wedding party it will be about 70 guest.

I love reading other people's wedding journeys and I am honoured to be able to share ours with you.
Who would have thought back in January 2010 when I was getting over my second treatment for skin cancer, feeling sick through the treatment and playing games on a social network, I would find my true love.
Like most of the games on this site you need neighbours. Yes you guessed it, Steve was a neighbour and friend of a friend. Over time we started to talk. I found myself looking more and more at his profile, thinking he was so cute. Mind you what I didn't know was that he was doing the same with my profile.
Over the time we found out we had a lot in common, though he lived in Victoria and I lived in South Australia.
By the 11th of February 2010, our friendship was so strong and serious, Steve asked me to go out with him. I questioned the distance. He stated he was prepared to travel often to be with me. I was thrilled that here was a cute guy that wanted to be with me regardless the distance.
On the 25th of February 2010, Steve made his first visit here to meet me. His bus came in at 6.00am and my friend and I met him at the Adelaide bus depot. I could hardly breathe through the excitement and nerves.
Questions ran through my head, like what if this guy didn't like me? What happens if he wasn't who he claimed to be on the net? What if?
The nerves soon settled once we were face to face. We found ourselves embracing each other and kissing. Now I didn't know if it was before this or after the kiss, but Steve was my twin flame, and I knew then that we were ment to be together.
Steve stayed for about a week and when he had to go back I thought my heart was going to break.
After this visit, Steve was to travel frequently to visit me, with at times a gap of 24 hours in between. Each time Steve had to go back to Victoria our hearts would ache.
On the 17th of March while we snuggled in bed together, he softly asked, "Will you marry me?" And of course the answer was "Yes".
The 18th of March we spent our time together, talking over wedding ideas.
On the 1st of April Steve bought my lovely, white gold, 1/3 crt diamond ring.
Steve made his final trip over to South Australia, to live with me, on the 14th of May 2010
As every day goes by, our love deepens like no other and now we are planning our beautiful Beach Wedding, (but that's another blog)

Glenelg Beach, South Australia where we will be getting married
Hi again my friends, thank you for dropping by.
With this blog I will be sharing some of our choices with you and why we have gone with our choices. Firstly though I want to share some things about us that some of you may not be aware of.
I'm writing this not for sympathy but more as awareness and perhaps an understanding for why our wedding is against the more traditional wedding.
I have had rheumatoid arthritis since I was a baby. Since I was 19 years old I have had most types of skin cancers with my worse being a cancerous melanoma leaving a huge scar on my left ankle.
Also at the age of 19 I was diagnosed with asthma. In recent years I have had osteoarthritis set in and diagnosed with fibromyalgia, where I live in pain 24/7. I was placed on a disability pension and in recent time, Steve was placed as my carer. Mind you Steve has health problems as well, he is a diabetic but we have that well managed.
Despite all my health issues, Steve always calls me his Princess and treats me as one every day of our lives. This now leads to our choices and like all weddings you have a budget that you can afford without placing a huge debt upon you and your partner.
We decided to get married down at Glenelg beach, this is Steve's and my first beach we went to and has become our favourite.
Where we are staying for our honeymoon is just a small walk down to the foreshore where we are getting married, for I don't want to be walking down to Steve on our day using my cane as support.
Our theme is very beach orientated with our favourite colours of red and black. With my dress, I have gone with a lovely red dress which has a black ribbon through the bias, it is 3/4 in length and a dress I can wear time and time again. We bought a crystal tiara to wear for Steve stated "Every Princess needs a tiara on their wedding day."
With my shoes I have not quite made up my mind but will be very dressy thongs, keeping with the beach theme plus I can not have any type of shoe rubbing my skin graph. With Steve's outfit we have stuck with the beach theme and his shirt is very much that. It is red and black with fish on it. He will be wearing suit pants plus dressy men's shoes.
Our bridesmaids are wearing lovely red shirts and black skirts. (I asked each of my bridesmaids what they would prefer for friends come in many gorgeous shapes and heights and I wanted them all to feel comfortable.) By the way I loved the shirt my bridesmaids are wearing that I bought one for my self.
Our grooms men are wearing black button through, short sleeved shirts with suit pants. It is a very relaxed and informal feel to our wedding but we want our family and friends to feel comfortable.
Because Steve and I live with each other and we have all that we need, we decided on a B.Y.O picnic afterwards (instead of our guests buying us presents) as our reception, this way our family and friends can eat what they want. (Both Steve and I are vegetarians) With our budget we also could not afford a catered reception.
At our ceremony we are having cupcakes, signing of our guest book and our thank you boxes (which will be explained how we made them in another blog). This way if any family or friends can not make the picnic they are still celebrating our love for each other and our wedding.
Our wedding will have all the glitz but on a budget what wont send us broke.
Our choices with our Bridal Party was easy, and I would love to share our Bridal Party with you.
With our Bridal Party we did not have to think on whom we would have.
As our Matron Of Honour I'm proud to have Lea. I have know Lea for about 24 1/2 years and we met through a magazine designed for mothers of young children. Lea was looking for pen pals and we started writing to each other. In a short period of time our friendship grew to into the strong friendship. Like all close friends we share everything.
Our Bridesmaid Mary. Mary and I went to high school together and we lost contact soon after school finished, which often happens. One day I was going through a checkout and the lovely lady asked if "I was Kerry Madigan?" Which I replied yes. From there our friendship re grew and we have always been there for each other.
Our Bridesmaid Sue. Sue and I go back to our childhood and going to the same schools for years. We were close then as we are now. After school had finished, we lost contact with each other until the time I joined Facebook© and Sue sent a friend request. I often wonder what Sue had been up to in those years of absence and I was very excited to rekindle our friendship.
Our Best Man is Michael our eldest son. I wanted both our sons to be in the wedding, and with Michael being the eldest we thought it would be a lovely idea for him to be our male witness. Michael will be paired off with Lea.
Our Groom's Man James who is our youngest son and will be responsible for holding the rings. James will be paired off with Mary.
Our Groom's Man Denis, is married to Sue and will be paired off with her.
Our Driver Bob, Bob came to our rescue after we needed a driver, he is also married to Lea.
Until my next blog my friends, please take care.

16.7.2011
Hi my friends, welcome back. So much has happened since my last blog.
The main thing that has changed is my wedding dress. I have ordered a different dress for our wedding. This one is longer and like the other one, is red. Don't get me wrong, I love the other dress, but because my bridesmaids are having longer skirts, I decided to purchase a new one. The dress I have here I am wearing on my hen's night. I am very excited about how everything is going.
So far we have both wedding rings, mine is white gold with a row of diamonds where Steve went for the more traditional band.
The bridesmaids have their blouses and working on their skirts and shoes. I have a pair of shoes but debating if I will be wearing them, waiting to see what comes out for this summer.
Steve has his shirt and pants for the wedding. Yet to buy his shoes, belt etc.
We have paid for our celebrant and our cupcakes. We are paying off our photographer and going great with that. (With the celebrant, cakes and photographer we saved heaps for we used our vouchers off here. Thank you BDB)
We have paid for the honeymoon and because Valentine's Day falls during our honeymoon, we have booked an eight hour, chauffeur driven cruise in and around the Adelaide Hills. I think that our first Valentine's Day as Mr and Mrs Fletcher will be more than special.
We have written out all invites, though they still need to be addressed to our guests. We have included a map, RSVP slip and wet weather information in the envelope.
We purchased a large suitcase and have started to pack items like toiletries, new shirts, etc, things we don't need now but for our honeymoon. (I have always been very organized)
We have written our vows and have given a copy to our celebrant to work on our ceremony.
We have organized a cd together of wedding/love songs.
I have created a thank you bomboniere box for our guest to take home with them. Since we are having a beach wedding theme, (and of course with the colours of red and black,) we wanted our guests to take home part of the beach with them. We lined the bottom and sides of the bomboniere boxes with PVA glue and sand. Once this dry we placed in some shells, rolled the thank you notes into a scroll and tied them with red ribbon, and placed a pair of little thongs on the shells. I wanted the thank you gifts to be unique and totally different.
We have our table, decorations, guest book for signing. We also have the sand and jar for our sand ceremony.
We have bubbles for our guests to use on the day, for down at Glenelg you can only use bubbles or rose petals.
As you can see my friends, we have been very busy.
Until next time my friends stay happy and safe and take care.

Our rings
8.8.2011
Hi again my friends,
With six months to go, pre wedding excitement and maybe nerves are defiantly here. Dont get me wrong, it is all good, but knowing how fast the year has already gone by, six months will fly by.
My wedding dressed arrived and I am so in love with it. It is stunning and everything I dreamt it would be. I have ordered a veil and when it arrives I will see if my dress needs it or not. (I am uncertain if I will be wearing a veil with my tiara).
My wedding jewellery has also arrived and it is such a WOW factor and I can not wait to wear it. Everything about my wedding dress and the accessories are all very beautiful.
To me there is nothing else I want to do be doing but making sure Steve's and my day is beautiful and memorable.
Two of our bridesmaids have their black skirts, which are similar in appearance. (It is hard to get skirts totally the same when our Matron Of Honour lives in Queensland and our two other bridesmaids live in South Australia. Though they were lucky to get matching blouses).
Both Steve and I have started to buy clothing and other items for our honeymoon. We have written out a list on what we need and every week we are buying things off the list.
Valentine's Day falls during our honeymoon and we have booked and paid for an eight hour cruise in and around the Adelaide Hills. Steve is originally from Victoria and there are parts of the Adelaide Hills he has not seen. It will be great to be chauffeured around for the day.
Later this month, early next month we are posting most of our invites for some of our guest are interstate or over seas. We want to make sure they have enough time to save if they want and able to come.
Until next time my friends, take care and love and hugs to you all.

8.9.2011
Hello again my friends,
With less than five months to go we are getting very excited. Most of the major parts of our wedding/ceremony/honeymoon have been taken care of. Our last big payment is our photographer and we are over half way through paying for this. After this it is saving big time for spending/food/etc money for our honeymoon.
We have started to pack items both for the wedding and for our honeymoon, these items we won't be needing or using before the our wedding, so hence the early packing. Every week we are buying things we need for our honeymoon, be it small or big things like toiletries to clothes. We made a list of things we need to buy/pack, and we have been crossing them off as we go. It is an easier way to know what is needed to be packed.
For our pre wedding tea, (hen's and buck's night) we have decided to have a combine night out for all, and keep it to the wedding party only. Since one of our bridesmaids is coming from Queensland the week of the wedding, our tea will be a great way for the bridal party to get to know each other. We were going to combine a spa and tea out in Adelaide, but financially it is a bit expensive, and we have decided to go out for tea down at Glenelg.
Recently we read that couples who have their ceremony, reception and honeymoon in one location are known as Marrymoons. Steve and I are Marrymoons lol.
After some time, I have finally worked out how to attach my lovely veil to my tiara. I love how it all falls together perfectly. With my tiara and jewellery there will be a lot of bling but in a classy way.
We have started to hand out our invitations. Later this week our first lot of overseas/interstate invites will be posted.
As you can see my friends we are very excited and time is moving so fast. We can not wait until our big day.
Until next time, stay safe and much love your way. xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi again my beautiful friends. With 17 weeks to go (and they are going very fast) so much has happened.
We have almost finished paying for our photographer, with one to two payments to go.
We received our first draft of wedding ceremony from our celebrant and I cried when I read it. Receiving this beautiful service that we have had help from our Celebrant to write, makes our wedding seem in reach now. (I know it always has been but when you get your first draft, it makes it seem so real.)
We have added a touching piece to it and that is before we do our ring ceremony we hold each other's rings close to our hearts and say a beautiful, heartfelt vow each. A lot of our ceremony Steve and I sat down and worked on together. We are saying the same vows to each other for we want it to be us, and we are so a like. What we did we both said different things and combined the two into one.
Most of our invites and bubbles have been posted or delivered. With the remainder we hope to be able to hand them out to family and friends, but if not we will be posting them.
We have been buying and packing items and clothing for our honeymoon. I know it is early, but doing it this way we spread the cost over the remainder weeks. We made a list, and cross off things as we get them.
Our bridal party are going great getting organised with their clothing, one of our bridesmaids still needs to find a black skirt, and all three still need to find shoes. Our grooms men still need to find shirts.
For our pre bridal party get together we have found a perfect place down at Glenelg. Steve and I had a meal there and we were so wrapped in the place. It will be a great night for everyone to get to know each other.
We made hand held fans that are elegant and easy to make, just in case it is hot and people need some relief from the heat.
As you can see my friends, it has been a busy month. Until next time, take care.

My Crystal Necklace & Earring set
13.11.2011
Hello my friends,
With only 90 days to go I wonder where the time has gone? Surely it was only the other day we were Engaged?
We have paid off our photographer in full. And with this all the major things have been paid for.
Our Matron of Honour has booked her flight tickets from Queensland to Adelaide (and return). Looking forward to catching up with her again, face to face instead over the phone/email/FB.
Our Bridesmaids still have to organise their shoes, plus one of the bridesmaids still needs to buy her skirt, but they have been looking for their items needed. Our sons still need their black shirts, which we will get for them.
Before the wedding ceremony we are having drinks in our apartment for the bridal party and family members so we decided to make some wine glass id charms to make it more personal.
A small hiccup to our wedding plans is that my knee replacement operation has come through and it is now on the 12th of December. I know it is cutting it fine but it is a necessary that I have it done.
We are still working through our honeymoon shopping list, buying new clothes, and packing the necessaries that is needed when you go away. Mind you our driver Bob might need a truck to help us with our, ok my, luggage. I have a tendency to over pack when I go anywhere. We are moving through the list of items needed at a great and steady pace.
Most of our invites have been either posted or delivered to our guests with only a few to go.
Quite happy how things are going.
Until next time my friends, stay happy and safe.

Merry Christmas to you my friends, we hope it is a safe and happy one.
So much has happened this month. The main one being my total knee replacement operation, and has been 9 days since, and it is still quite bruised and swollen. The main thing Steve and I are working on is getting my knee back to being workable so I can walk down the aisle to him in 52 days time.
Steve and I continue packing items for our honeymoon, with only the smaller items needed.
We have worked on our wedding vows and have added a few things to them. We have worked out a date for the pre wedding get together which will be on the 8th of January. We have also organised a date with our celebrant for our rehearsal which will be on the 22nd of January. Both dates we are looking forward to. It will keep me busy planning for these while Im recovering.
Have a safe and happy Christmas and New Year my friends and will talk to you soon.

A bag my bridesmaid gave me for my nic-nacs

Hi my friends,
today there is one month to go, and we are very excited, though the time is moving very fast.
It has been four weeks since my knee operation and my knee is improving daily. I am moving around with the use of a cane. I will be glad when I can use moisturiser around the scar. It is a bit scaly at the moment but will soon be able to pamper my leg and feet etc again.
On Sunday the 8th of January we had a pre wedding gathering with the bridal party to sort out any items needed. It was a very successful day.
On the 22nd of January we have our rehearsal with our celebrant Jane from United in Love down at Glenelg. This is very exciting and we can not wait. We wrote our own vows that are so us.
Our suitcases are packed except for day to day items. Thank goodness we are not flying somewhere, for we would have excess baggage. They are over packed but I rather have too much and not enough.
As you can see we are already for our beautiful day, it is all very exciting and in a good way a tad nervous. I love weddings and to us ours is more than special. I love our wedding.
Until next time my friends, take care xoxox
