We are fully aware that not everybody is a whiz on computers, therefore Bridal Discount Book's ad creation is designed to be as simple and easy to use as possible.
Much of the necessary information for your ad page is readily available and automatically used from your initial registration.
Then it's just a matter of you personalising it by filling in a few blanks like the text for your voucher offer, business description and picture gallery.

In the event your business is a group, conglomerate, corporation comprising of more than one business/company and you wish to advertise and offer a discount for all/both, example two hotels etc of the same name but residing in different areas; all must have their own separate advertising page under the relevant category/s.
So if your business falls under the one banner at the one residence, you have COMPLETE control over the choice of category you list under and in fact can change between them as you wish.

Yes, they do.
A voucher download notification is sent via email to a business when a bride saves their voucher. Depending on the wedding date, in some cases there could be a delay before they contact.
This is yet another way to know instantly that they are in fact a valid member.
It is then possible to insert their unique member number into our database for confirmation. Obviously for privacy we can not divulge personal information, so access is given to their names, suburb, joining date, expiry and wedding date.
Again this is a security measure to ensure our privileged members are the only ones entitled to claim your discount.

Remember you also have the power to adjust this at any time during your 12 month term and some businesses like to utilise this by running monthly specials to encourage additional sales.
In fact Bridal Discount Book® encourages business to add -on- sell to increase your bookings average intake. What does this mean?
Here's an example:
Photography - To encourage greater sales on a premium package, streamline your offer to reflect a saving or value save (eg: additional enlargement etc) on the purchase of this package in particular.
A cake example - Offer a free cake topper on the purchase of a 3 tiered cake.
This will help you to achieve a greater average dollar amount from the bookings you receive and still reflects a generous saving for the bride & groom.
What's a value save? This is something added to create the saving. For example:
Bridal Discount Book® is proof that the ' largest saving ' doesn't always win the business. Simply because there are many other factors that influence a bride & grooms final decision. These often include the quality of goods & services to how well the business conducts itself.
No saving is to big or to small. It's NOT all about the discount!

Some choose to run monthly specials and this is achieved by placing a specific expiry date to that offer in the 'Additional Conditions' section of your voucher.
Because only current offers are represented, we just ask that you make a note of any offers you have changed. Simply because a member may be particularly interested in your services by the offer you had at the time they found you.

1 month prior to expiry an email notification is sent giving the opportunity to re list and maintain all benefits. It is best to note an expiry date in the event this email is spammed and not received.
On expiry an ad page is instantly removed from view on the website.
24 hours from expiry access is permanently deactivated and voucher saves are deleted in a bride & grooms account.

3. Every time a voucher is downloaded or printed it's recorded & stored within that individual business account. This information can be retrieved by simply logging into BDB's data base using their chosen and secure username & password.

We take privacy very seriously not to mention it's against the privacy act to divulge certain private information, the same applies to any Australian business.
However we do give brides & grooms a choice to include their email address on your voucher save email notifications. The decision to do this is up to each individual member and we hope it will prove to be yet another effective way for brides & business to touch base and work together efficiently .

And that wouldn't really be fair on a business!
There are many MORE savings a bride & groom member can claim from other services they require and have not yet booked.
If a member was a customer of yours before they joined Bridal Discount Book®, NO they are not entitled as it isn't fair that you should cover that loss.
You will notice an offer expiry at the bottom of all vouchers which contains certain conditions and there is the ability to add your own additional conditions.
These specify the requirements you as a business deem necessary for a bride & groom to be able to redeem your offer offer and one in particular is " New bookings only ".
We do ask our Bride & Groom members to respect this fact and not abuse the system. This way it stays fair for everyone.

Cut off the advertising that works and you jeopardise heavily reducing your exposure & success in gaining future business!
Your voucher saves most likely include many members that are yet to have their wedding or are not quite at the stage of organising your particular service until later in the year or the next peak wedding season. Not to mention all the new bride & groom members you'll miss out on!
Because your voucher saves are removed from a brides account when your add expires, if you don't renew membership you won't give the business you already know exists, a chance to acquire your service in the near future.
So ultimately you are throwing business away and no one can afford to do that - it's business suicide!
The following information can be found in your account under voucher redeems
Two important things to consider are:
1. Relevant to a members wedding date & when they would be most likely to contact you, how many of those saves have already been redeemed?
2. How many weddings are still upcoming outside your expiry or wouldn't be at the stage of booking you yet?
If you still have voucher saves with wedding dates after your expiry, can you afford to throw away members that have already indicated interest in your service? Part in which was due to your saving on BDB which will no longer be available to them after expiry.
It's a proven fact - by simply allowing future voucher saves the opportunity to book. Businesses that stick with BDB have far greater success in the long term
